helpless.

 

All the Princes

out there,

so tired of the Narrator

robbing you

of your feminine side.

 

All the Witches

out there,

so tired of the Narrator

describing you

as ugly and evil.

 

All of you

out there,

who are tired of the Narrator,

stand by me!

 

We will say, Down with Once Upon a Time!

We will say, Down with Happy Ever After!

We will write our own stories!

We will bring down the Narrator!

 

But most of all,

we will

be

free!

Hahaha, funny stuff, Weston. I don't think I've see any poem come close to this issue. Why is it that we all think that stories have to have a 'once upon a time' or worse, 'happily ever after'? And, god, don't even get me started on Narrators! They always seem to know what your thinking and what you going to do! Worst of all, they never shut the hell up! They won't even let me speak for myself! *cough* um, sorry, I kind of got caught up in the moment. Anyways, jokes aside, I like this. It had a nice flow, I didn't stumble on any strange mythical words, and I found the structure to be very humorous. I pictured it as if it were a speech to all things imaginative and make believe. Nice work Weston; keep it up
