Below midnight moon

Dutiful mom cooks noodles

For boomerang kid

 

Chop sticks in stir fry -

Sandpipers in succulent

spring estuary

 

Searching worms are crushed

Under harvest heavy feet �"

Ideas are hushed

 

Curators conserve

Archival yellow newsprint -

Packrat kneeds warm bed

 

Soft winds whisper hope -

Through rusted cans and garbage

of dark alley-ways
