Love’s endless night

Grief and Hope

In the stillness of the night,
I ponder over my plight,
My heart aches with a pain so deep,
And my soul weeps and cannot sleep.

The memories of love so pure,
Now fade away, obscure,
Leaving me with a void so vast,
A bleakness that shall forever last.

The darkness that engulfs my mind,
Is a prison, so unkind,
I yearn for a glimmer of light,
To end this endless night.

The grief that grips my heart,
Tears my soul apart,
I pray for the strength to survive,
And keep my love alive.

For love is a flame that cannot die,
It shall endure, though I may cry,
In the darkest of times, it shall shine,
And bring me solace, divine.

So I shall hold on to love so dear,
And let it wipe away my tear,
And though I may stumble and fall,
Love shall always be my all.
