Empty.

I feel I try and try, but it’s never enough.

I buy you everything.

I give you everything.

I gave you my love.

Heart.

Soul.

Everything.

Now I have nothing,

It was all for you.

And you crushed it.

As if it meant nothing to you.

As if I meant nothing to you.

As if nothing ever meant anything to you.

I sit here waiting just to see your face everyday.

Yet you never come.

You ruined me .

Took everything I had.

And now I'm here .

Empty.

Regina, it's a raw and intense poem. It makes me want to know the beginning of the story, and more about the end. You express not only pain but anger and resentment, so I'm assuming the person might have somehow contributed to his/her own death. Still, you powerfully convey the emotional pain of losing a loved one. "Empty" is a simple but incredibly familiar feeling for all of us.
