Godless

Godless

A Poem by Declan
"

Guess i am back...

"
God gave me wings, but said not to use them to fly.
"You may try and try, but without them they are useless, I tell no lie."
He gave me a heart as big as a horse, but then told me not to overshare it "Or there will be much remorse."
Legs to walk the long deserts, I know no boundaries,
Only those placed upon me by the owner of the foundry.
Oh to sing from the heart, where do I begin,
These limitations that bound me and keep thy spirit in.
Is this gods true plan, to waste and let rest,
Stifled I am and left to detest.
Any god that wont inspire, set free, and admire,
Is one full of covetous and envy,
Many a men there are already here a plenty.
Step out of the shadow and look a man in the eye,
Before youre left alone in this heart to die.
