The Power of a Smile

written during 2020 crisis. In Japan, all students had masks whilst I was teaching. I had a mask and a face shield. for a whole year I never saw their real faces.

In the year of 2020, no-one will forget,

The power of a smile heavenly set.

Smiles of distinction becoming riddles hidden by this powerful affliction.

Masks of many colours hide the spread of joy,

Upon to others,

Smiles still hidden.

Smiles lift hearts, spread love and cheer.

It will soon be time to unmask,

And set free the class.
