Farewell, Germany

Just a final goodbye to my home of 5 years.

Lying here alone
Listening to the thunder
I feel a tear glide gently down
As I begin to wonder

Germany, you're a subtle beauty
Who gleams all year long
I'll miss you dearly, my home
Without you, it's hard to stay strong

I think of everything
Every distance memory
And time begins to fade away
It's a blissful agony

I can't say goodbye
But I don't have a reason to stay
I want to stay forever
But can't face another day

Tomorrow I'll leave forever
There's no turning back
My soul silent cries
As the sky turn slowly black.

But tonight I say goodbye
Tonight I'll remember you
I'll keep you in my heart
I'll always pay my due
