there goes again the woman,
the one with the ceramic tub,
she spends many times, alone,
mascara-plain eyes,
washing her face by the sink,
they buried her heart,
out the yard, it was a blue,
hopeless beat, four-chambered,
one, each, for her daughters,
one, for her lover,
last one for me, for the times,
she didn't take the flowers
i picked for her in her own garden,
the only song, the old, rusty gate,
i still see her, in simple clothes,
barely a smile, the pain real,
she hides well, beside her silence,
breaking, after all these years

KL is a wonderful friend and poet, she deserves better, much better than what she was given, makes me want to oil that rusty gate, but I think she is more than capable to do this.. I can imagine her smile as she does this too... turning a "squeeky song" into a sweet melody, perhaps a country song, but she may surprise everyone with one of those Rob Zombie hits!!

anyway, Steph, enjoyed your write and your friendship for her..
