i don't like the ending. it's not strong enough.

those lips kiss
same as every other pair.
their hands hold
the same warmth.
their hearts beat,
blood runs,
and feet step
just the same
as any other-
but we hate them.
they choose different hands,
different hearts,
different lips to kiss,
and we hate them.
gay once meant merry.
now, its an insult.
could we change?
change enough so that gay
is a statement, not an insult?
