Escape to Paradise

I’m writing a poem light and quaint,

Although usually I write poems that are… w e l l , not for the faint.

I’ll write something pleasant especially for you.

So ^{“rainbows and butterflies”} yes…        That’ll do.

Let’s discuss ^{“pixies and fairies”} and forget this world of pain,

Let’s forget murder, crime, and the _insane.

Let’s venture to Neverland where ^children can fly,

And leave behind the old to _{wither and die}.

Let’s escape from this w o r l d of sorrow and dread,

And let those with life stay living and those without stay dead.

Remember when you go you always leave someone behind.
