Takeover

Takeover

A Poem by Wilyem Clark

He likes to poke his porky nose
Into pickle pies wherever he goes.
Ignoring limits, ignoring laws,
He tramples rights with his pudgy paws.
The product of ego overfed,
He consumes and voids on every head.
A destroyer of beauty: since roses have thorns,
Roses too he refuses, abuses, and scorns.
He's petty-minded and petty-souled;
Dissent compels him to rant and scold.
He's priggish, but lacks morality;
He revels in indecency.
Preceded by an invasive stench,
He leaves behind a slimy trench.
A fool, a vicious buffoon, and yet
Without a doubt, a global threat.
A flock of demons, ambition-sotted,
Trot beside him, their innards rotted;
These lesser devils, they play their part:
Together, they clot the nation's heart.
Some say our country should be so scourged
For accepting this monster the masses encouraged;
I say we've wasted our breaths on debate--
Time to take up arms and liberate!

Now I am realising same, but you captured so much in few lines ...
It took years but with him journey was roller coaster and ultimately it was so fun not guessed ...

I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
