Void

Void

A Poem by Wilyem Clark

Speak, why don't you, Void,
And tell me what you are thinking?
It's lonely out here, Void,
And I have only myself
To console me.
My peers have wandered off
And newcomers ignore me,
Turn their noses up at dated stock,
Care only for flash and fleeting fads.
What of my life, my works,
My loves? Why, when I shout,
Does no one hear me?
You, dear Void, understand my ache;
You, dear Void, are always there,
At my side, around me,
Part and parcel, integrated.
If only you could talk.

This is a great poem about what sounds like the "inner critic" or "depression"....both of which I can relate to..

I like the way you create this dialogue to comfort against the loneliness of life.....

Nice write my WC friend...
