How golden

How golden

A Poem by Jeannine Winklaar

I notice you on your
journey of this world along
mine and capture your sence
of being: pure, fragile  We rely

on each other even when poetry
failes  Sooth and encourage
wander along streams and rivers
climb mountains and dunes

discouver forrests or just linger
at sea  Being wherever you are
is great happiness, for I wish
to know you as I know me

If time dictates us to go our
separate ways - as time can -
our lives together will have been
worth while...you'll see

Jeannine, I really like the feel of this poem. I like how you interrupt the thought and pull the reader into the next verse and hold us tight to find out what's next. A good promise to end it with - honey, it was worth it!
