Summer breeze

Summer breeze

A Poem by Jeannine Winklaar

laughter is on the table

in between dishes and sorrow

not orderly arranged, but random

neither here nor there

secret lies there also

- not up for grabbs -

just lingering below the rim of

a soucer, almost hidden

that sweet summer night -

it took forever - while it's

breeze drove the heat out and fused

shared grief without saying

Your poem seems to flow like a river of hope with melancholy growing thick on either riverbank.
Well written, dear poet. I like your carefully chosen, delicately placed words.
