Elohim and M

Elohim and M

A Poem by words

Elohim and Me

Why do I feel so lost and alone

Sliding into a bottomless hole

Did I pick the wrong door, miss the right turn

Was it something I said, the thoughts in my head?

Things that I’ve done, rumors I spread

If only I knew, I could fix them for you

Though my life rages on with lust and desire...

I resist with my heart but consumed by the fire.

Can you answer one question, help me to understand

Will I shed my earthly worries?

Begin a life in everlasting glory...

Soar so high above the clouds

See the mystery of the stars

Tell me, did I ask for too much

Step out of line, when it was my time

Have I played with emotions, that wasn’t my notion.

Did I hurt someone’s feelings, when they needed healing...

Did I judge too harshly made some cry...

I would take it all back, in a blink of an eye

Though my life rages on with lust and desire.

I resist with my heart but consumed by fire.

Can you answer one question before you go

Will I shed my earthly worries?

Begin a life in everlasting glory.

Soar so high above the clouds

Learn the mystery of the stars.

I’ve climbed the mountain in my mind, consulted in you so many times

You know I had my share of sorrow, always found comfort in tomorrow

Your laws etched above in stone, I’ll be set free by faith alone.

So why does my life rage with lust and desire

I resist with my heart but consumed by fire

Can you answer one question, just one more plea?

When bone and lust turn into dust!

Will I share a shroud of pain?

Or will I see the eternal flame

Hear the angles call out my name

Shed my earthly worries

Begin a life of everlasting glory

Soar so high above the clouds

Gain your knowledge of the stars

Or will I bow my head in shame

One lost soul on an endless chain
