Falling

Falling

A Poem by words

Time stood still when I was young

Catching snowflakes on my tongue

I caught a glimpse of a shooting star

It skipped the twilight sky so far

I fished in streams

Filled with childhood dreams

Ran in fields of yesteryear

Felt the wind had not a care

Opening doors of my past time

Reminiscing in my mind

Seeing pictures of many places

Then people I knew and unfamiliar faces

Recalling memories like the seasons

Time passed by with no rhyme or reason

Now the mirror shows lines on my face

No sign of youth not a trace

I remember when I was young

Catching snowflakes on my tongue

I caught a glimpse of a shooting star

It fell to earth not very far
