If i were a carpenter

Life without you,

i wouldn`t understand if,

you wasn`t my lady,

and i wasn`t your man.

 

my life wouldn`t be the same,

without you,

but the world,

wouldn`t either

 

you take my breath away,

you sooth my soul,

when we`re apart

my heart is cold.

 

one day,

i will build a cabin,

in the sky

where eagles soar

and we never die.

 

My lips are sweet,

my love is true,

and i give it all,

all to you...

I always admire the sincerity, humility and simple tone of your poems. I can hear Alan Jackson or one of the true country artists singing this in a dim concert hall, just his voice, a guitar and a white halo around his wood stool. Sure, Elton John, but I'd prefer the country version of this one. Another enjoyable work.

When I start read it you gonna build cabin I was expecting it will be in the woods. But no you gonna build at the sky that's quite highest quest. I really like this one full of love and longing open honest confession in true poetry well done.
