like paper,
we are pages being filled as time goes

like paper,
we can have lines, be smooth, brown, small, tall, anything at all

like paper,
we wear, crumble and tear

like paper,
we can be tossed to the trash
lucky ones recycled

like paper,
we are canvases for paint, words, history
