[untitled]A Poem by CD
A low hum and a soft tap, what is that noise?
Breathing slow sends shivers down my back, could it be a voice? Whispers sweet then a bloodcurdling laugh Evil eyes gleaming, saying I cannot go back Departing from all that was pure I continue to doubt what was once sure Despair has nere known a better friend As I nightmare a black hole as my end A sliver of light peeks through my soul's window I gasp and clutch it to my chest then moan As it slips through my fingers and is swallowed by shadows On my hands and knees now I search but in vain sorrow The tears begin to fall while a blanket of dread wraps itself around me It was here, the Joy,then left ever so quickly Hope for a second is none too kind for fragility A numbness sweeps over as Death haunts his possibility A waking sensation as if from a twisted dream My mentality sharpens to depression's scheme I shake my head against the storming voices And hear the singing as all nature rejoices Now I sense a peace and a sort of calm Then the quivering fear that it won't stay long My crys grow louder,my heart weaker,I am desolate Abruptly,I wake in dawn's new rays still shaking from my vision of fate © 2009 CDAuthor's Note
