The Forgotten FloraA Poem by LaineyWhat happens to beauty when it's never seen?
The lotus blooms
Hidden and quiet in the shade of a willow tree. The color brightens. With adequate sunlight, the petals shine free. The clouds pass. Small patches of dim light don't harm the flower. The day ends. Darkness swallows more and more every hour. The color fades. Discouraged, the petals gravitate together. The flora hides. It's pride is lost like a forgotten love letter. The beauty is for few eyes to notice The hidden gem; the forbidden lotus.
