I personally don't think that Mother Nature is behind the decline. The pest-control chems we use on crops have reduced the bees ability to fight their own natural parasites, I feel, based on studies and results online.
This is a good highlighter of a topic that could be a much greater risk to civilisation than even confilct at this time. Kudos Will.

Thanks Anto for the read and commenting. I agree with you and this was just another take on the missing bees. Especially since over the ages you see the adaptivity of the earth by mother nature.

I often wondered if mother nature and the Earth (as a living entity, if you like) won't one day send in the anti-bodies to rid herself of us, the worst parasite ever. Perhaps the bee catastrophy is stage one of her immune system kicking in. lol

I guess we have a difference of opinion. Haiku is earth and nature and Senryu is not. I felt bees were more to nature. Thank you for reading and commenting.

Check the definition for Haiku dear poet. There is also reference to seasons and the structure is far more demanding.

I have and have found a great divide between pure Haiku and what is being written today. So I may take some liberties as many do. I guess it's a matter of interpretation. All I have read talk nature and not season.

I was thinking of the reasons they tell us the bees are dying and my thought was that nature reduced bee population due to less food for them due to the drought and flood and other disasters around the globe that have reduced the food supply and the pollen needed by the bees.
