Meditation on Wheels

Meditation on Wheels

A Poem by Willard Wells
"

Reflecting

"

Bicycling in the early morn,

Brings a smile to my face,

And happiness to my being.

My place of meditation,

A long and lonely road.

A place of solitude and peace.

Eyes open to the light of day.

Birds dancing on wings in the air,

Squirrels running and collecting their fare.

Reflection on life as I roll down the road makes for a beautiful day!

such a calm and inspiring piece, Willard... the thought of rolling down the road (as we roll through the paths in life) and finding solitude as the heart pumps... riding a bicycle does much, much more than closing the gap between two physical points... thanks for this wonderful image!

Thanks FT. One of my greatest pleasures. Appreciate the time and comment.
My meditation is on four wheels on a scenic drive to work every morning...not quite the same, but Ive missed it with school out...driving Otto to Houston does not count as a relaxing drive.

Thank you for visiting and commenting on my work.
A gentle and uplifting piece that gives a clear picture of your morning ride in a flowing and uplifting verse. Could almost feel the wind on my face and the sigh of contentment,

Willard I do like reading this piece and how you have your happy place and peace of mind. I have said many times. "If you are happy and have peace of mind what else could you ask for or should you ask for?". Oh how I like the simple things of life and it appears you so the same. A clear and lovely piece you have written.
