Great contrast between feeling giddy at all too rare moisture from the sky and the fact that it won't do anything to lessen the drought. Haiku seems to be your comfort zone, and so far I've liked them all.

It's raining, it's pouring.....
Glad to see your getting rain. The giddiness could be from gasses released to create that unique scent of water on parched earth...lol

I remember one time it hadn't rained in so long that as the drops got close to the ground they turned to a fine mist and disappeared all together.

As I recall they call that non measurable rainfall. We now are having dark clouds day after day, but no rain, but it mixes well with all the smoke. Thanks for the visit and commenting.
