Taken By SuppriseA Chapter by GetTheHellOutFive minutes later a little girl walked in the room. "Dad? Dad?" she called in her usual squeeky childish voice. But noone answered. Just silence across her dad's mysterious laboratory. She slowly walked deeper inside it with caution. Irma was super curious on what her dad had been working all this time, she was sure it was something big since he was always spending all his time on it. The fact that her father would never mention anything about it made her somewhat suspicious but he knew that the doctor was a good man and whatever it was he would use it wisely. He had been working on that since the time her mother died, she was always being taken care of by a well payed nanny that looked after her, while he worked all those long hours. Irma took a closer and careful look at the inside of the lab, it looked like something was missing. The lights went out at that second taking her by supprise. What happened, she wandered as she was searching her bag for her flash light. She accidently dropped it and then quickly picked it up. The flash light was now on. The shadows seemed terrifing as she walked passed them. She got outside the lab almost running as if trying to escape from the many shadows that formed around her. Like any other child she had a fear of the dark. The whole building looked completely different now. This familiar space had now turned to something that could be a horror movie scenery. It looked like she was all alone in that two-floor building that a few minutes ago had sunk in darkness. The akward silence scared her. Her heart beat became more intence and fast. Suddenly Tasha, her father's assistant, showed up out of nowhere. The tall black-haired woman walked towards her. "Hi Irma" she said in a low voice almost whispering. The twelve year old jumped up supprised, definately not expecting to see her now, she was supposed to be away in a trip the doctor had send her, so that she would come back with a certain equipment. The girl stared at her for a second with her gorgeous lake green eyes meeting the assistant's gaze. "Hey Tasha. You scared me, I couldn't possibly imagine that you'll be here" Irma said still kinda panicked. She never trusted her father's eighteen year old assistand fully, she always seemed distand and somehow weird. "Follow me" the beautiful young woman said in a confident tone. The girl followed. Tasha walked fast reaching the grand staircase of the building "Hurry, time is running out" she muttered in a dark voice to the girl. Irma couldn't help but wander what she ment by that. "Time? Is there a time limit? And to what?" she asked worried. The young woman flashed her mysterious enigmatic smile "You'll find out soon..." she whispered in the same dark tone as before. As she was taking Irma away from the lab of the second floor leading her to the first floor she stoped in the right corner of the hallway to pick up a note stiched on the cover of something that looked like a scrapbook. She raised it to her eyelevel as if to examine it, unsticking the note fast and putting the crimson scrapbook in her bag. She quickly started reading through the note, it seemed to be some kind of poem.
" You'll find me somewhere dark between the shadows that cover me somewhere with blood I'm a sparkle of hate in every love Don't be scared don't try to run You can escape it's too late for that I'm your darkest fear right here between the shadows now it's clear "
"Jeez Jake... Does this really look like the right time for your black jokes? This guy doesn't know where to stop..." Tasha muttered to her self half upset half amused.
