He lays here

He lays here

A Poem by GetTheHellOut

He lays down on the grass

Alone...

Lost and Forgotten...

His eyesight too blur to see the stars

He gazes with an empty look

The sky...

But he does not truly see a thing

Cold...

He lays here

while the children play accross the street

while mom makes a cake

while life goes on around him

But he just lays here...

Without love

Without someone to care

Without someone he can say goodbye to...

So he just lays here...

Wow, so he does. Wonderful. It gives the reader a feeling of being alone. Which is how I'm sure the man on the grass feels. :] Great work

you painted a vivid picture of emptiness. i thought the "..." added a nice break, a pause to ponder what is written. and i like the format, the one last single line at the end; it made a nice ending.
