A Story Is Born

A Story Is Born

A Poem by GetTheHellOut

Another blank page

Just like an unsung song

A pile of scrabled pages

and me in the middle

I pick up the pen again

falls on the floor a minute later

Unused...

it breaks, ink dripping on the floor

I clean it up

but I won't give up

A new page and a new pen

and a story is born...

Great piece! It shows that you should never give up and that a story can be born from nothing. Keep up the good work!

Wonderful piece!

I imagine you like myself, hidden amid chaos, surrounded by endless biros and half filled notebooks.

Great piece, honest and true. Well done on this one!

the symbol of the breaking pen fits nicely with the idea of giving birth to a story. since nothing was coming out with the traditional use, it had to be destroyed so that the gifts inside could be consumed by the masses. i imagine the ink as blood, black and thick, puddled on your floor. the image of the pain you must endure in order to give life to creation.
