DYLAN'S POV:
There was a
new kid in our class and he was so awesome. We were at lunch and we
were talking, but his attention was somewhere else. I noticed him
staring at Callista, she was alone, sitting at her table. What would he
want with Callista?
"What are you looking at?" I asked him.
"That girl. Who is she?" he answered.
"Oh, her."
"You know her?"
"Yeah."
"How?"
"She
was in my class in fifth grade. She's kinda quiet and she doesn't talk
much." That was true; she didn't talk with anyone really, except with
her friends. But, I think she does sort of talk now.
"Does she have a boyfriend?" he asked next.
"No, I don't think so. Why?" I had a feeling that he liked her.
"She's so pretty, wonder why she's not taken." I was so right.
"You seriously like her?" I asked him.
When
I turned to look at Callista, I noticed she was looking this way
already, but she turned around when she noticed me looking at her.
"Yeah. Imma go talk to her." he said suddenly.
"Good luck."
I looked back at her and saw her playing with her fingers.
I couldn't hear what they were saying.
He soon came back, grinning.
"So, what'd she say?" I asked sort of anxious.
"Oh, nothing really," he said. "I just asked her to be my friend and she said sure."
"Wow."
"Yeah."
"You're acting like such a girl." he was even blushing like one.
"I can't help it."
He smiled at Callista and she smiled back.
