Shattered Mask

Haven't written in a while.

locked and confined
hiding from reality
choosing to ignore
the ever growing pain
crumbling you to pieces
never facing the burden
stopping the persistant demons
you lock down
shut out the world
hide from the pain
your mask is strong
stance unflinching
but your eyes
your large eyes
they never lie
locked in a corner
deep within yourself
you tremble
you shake
you sob
and scream
inside
your mask will shatter
your stance will shake
your knees will give
and you will break
