Grasp Every Moment

Grasp Every Moment

A Poem by Brandon Dunbar

As I lay here

Thinking of past times

There's always one thing

That comes to mind

I wish I could be

With you all the time

Grasp every moment

As I know this is mine

I am leaving now

It's my time to go

Please don't cry for me

This much you'll know

I'll still be with you

Until your dying day

Please keep that beautiful smile

As our song begins to play

Know that I love you

And I'm sorry I have to go

But in your heart I'll still be there

As our love continues to grow

How beautiful yet sad at the same time. Too bad all relationships can't end with a good-bye like this, whether it is death or distance that ends it. Great piece!

Awe! This is very cute.

I love everything about it. The flow, the rhyming, the title...everything. :]

Great job.

Always,
