Dream Theater "The Room"

Dream Theater "The Room"

A Poem by Brandon Dunbar

Eyes start to close
Thoughts start to fade
This starts the process
Of how dream theater is made

Open my eyes
With fog all around
Can't see in front of me
Nor can I see the ground

 Whats going on?
Am I still in my room?
Where did this fog come from?
What caused all of this gloom?

I take a step at a time
Trying to make my way to the door
Hoping not to hit anything
And find myself on the floor

I finally get to the door
Grab the knob and turn
Door doesn't budge
My hand starts to burn

I start to get frantic
As I start to kick
All this in vain
As the door feels like brick

Scared now I start to scream
Somebody help me
What is going on here
How can this be

I start to make my way
To the window on the other wall
After my third step
I hit something and fall

As I fall down
My head hits the frame of the bed
I close my eyes to fog
And open them to red

Everything blood red
Now I really start to freak
This can't be real
My heart racing at its peak

I close my eyes in fear
Start a countdown from ten
Open my eyes at one
Welcome to the end

About
