If you have not lost

Maybe to another

A taller

Smarter

Version of you

What is love

If you have not given it your all

To end your day with a smile

Or even some tears

That he will never know you shed

What is love

If you have not forgiven

That night he forgot to text you

Or the morning it took all day to say "hi"

And you throw the phone wishing you didn't care

But what is love

If you did not care

It would not be anything

Because love without care and trust

Is nothing but a sugar coated LUST

I'm relieved to know that someone finally understands the difference between love & lust. But it's true, what is love if you didn't choose to care? Lust happens when those are lonely & just wanting some 'fun' or 'available attention'. Love is experiencing highs & lows, ecstasy & heartbreak alongside the one you've come to care about. It's such a crazy thing how when you fall in love, it makes you feel everything & at times, make you wish you never felt anything at all...I feel one is in love when every minute you spend with that person never seems to ever be enough...that's how I realized when I was truly in love. We all deserve love, not to be blinded on that glorious road by the selfish act of lust. Very powerful write & I truly enjoyed the message!
