Morning PersonA Poem by AliasThe poisons in my veins are yet to leave me they nestle sweetly buzzing await their farewell bite bodies surround me sticky with sickly morning sweat sleep, hard-fought, has taken them stale breath forms clouds above us all limbs ache and heavy heads loll carelessly on makeshift beds the wounds that at conception were nothing to us insist on being felt murmers and grunts join the morning chorus only I am there to hear the disjointed harmony of the flightness birds I find snoozing at my feet.
