Love; An absence of HateA Poem by KaitlinSome say love is blind- More like an absence of mind. A mind flourishing with ignorance And growing arrogance. A soft kiss Was no longer my dying wish. Your gleaming eyes Were my personal high. With cupid’s arrow we were struck Could this only be luck? Our hearts soared Only longing for more. But time only passes With rose-colored glasses. Feelings of regret grow Was this just another show? A broken heart- Feels more like a work of art. A tear falls with a splash Everything ends with a crash. Goodbyes are bade And memories fade Never to again to speak Of the times that are now so bleak. © 2010 KaitlinReviews
