CalifornicationA Poem by Nicola Taylor
I traveled worlds from here
from desert rats to sunshine rain and sometimes I wish I was the same, brown sugar in a dust bowl and sometimes I wish you were alive, like you used to but most wishes aren't meant to come true so I'll leave it with the rats, where it's meant to be and you can stay looking for yourself in mirages and dirty grease filled garages. I am here now and my soul blooms and I am pale in the sunshine even though my smile shines brighter than that star ever could. I have traveled worlds trying to find this, but unfortunately your cracked ground says hello to memories and I can't help but roll in dust bowls and remember how f*****g hot it was down there in hell with you on my heels as if hounds and the taste of smells on sagebrush leaves. You had the best of me, but I'm someone else now and she is better than the best you ever had. Stick that in your memory and let it burn until you have branded away any trace of me and rest in f*****g piece by piece. © 2010 Nicola TaylorReviews
