The Best Grandma

The Best Grandma

A Poem by Claire

I was having such a great day till I found out you were sick. 800 miles away and I couldn't even visit you. You held on so long, but you weren't afraid to go. For you knew it was time. As you died another was born, hopefully with as good of a heart as yours. I wish I got to know you better, but I can't change the past. You might not be visible to my eyes, or huggable to my arms, but in my heart you'll always live as the best Grandma a kid could ever have.
