Look at the factories and buildings.
Swim in the polluted oceans.
Go see the endangered animals.
Read about the kid who brought a gun to school.
Receive the missing person flier.
Watch the love between your parents fade.
Now nature is fighting back,
Against the harm we've subjected it to.
With killer storms
And monster waves.
The world's fighting back.
Get the news your only child has died at war.
See the hate in people's eyes
And witness it in their actions.
Maybe when the kid who was always bullied commits suicide,
Maybe then we'll see.
Maybe when the war comes in your backyard.
Then maybe you'll see.
How much we've hurt our earth,
And how greedy we've come to be.
