A Fallen Angel

A Fallen Angel

A Poem by Claire

I sit hear listening to you
Listening to you fall apart
Listening to the desperate sound of your voice
Although your not speaking

Hundreds of miles away
Wishing I could comfort you
So deep in sorrow
Wishing I could pull you out

As you do what you have told me not to do
I sit here wishing I could help
Envisioning the blood and tears
Wishing I could be there

I don't know what to do
I don't know what to say

Please talk to me
Tell me what's wrong

Wishing I could be there
To hold you in my arms
But knowing that will never happen

My heart grows tight with fear and sadness
After not talking for so long
After months of wondering if you're alive
I sit hear listening and talking

Hoping you'll hear what I'm saying
Hoping that you'll be okay
Wishing that one day I might be able to
Just hold you in my arms
And place a soft kiss on your lips

If even that is possible
If that day does ever come
You'll probably be in someone else's arms

But now I search for words of comfort
To share with you
Hoping you'll take my advice
And let yourself bleed no more
