Roses are red
Violets are blue
My heart is dead
It's because of you
Grass is green
My night sky is black
Yes I'm fifteen
But there's not much I lack
Some clouds are gray
My eyes are brown
There hasn't been a day

My shirt is pink
And one lone cloud is white
As I sit there and think
About you the whole night
Jewelry can be gold
That tree is jade
You need to learn to be bold
Or you'll always be afraid
My flip-flops are teal
My cheeks have turned rose
My heart you did steal
Something not chose
Because roses are red
And violets are blue
Either way my heart is dead
