When the lights go out

It couldn't escape me tonight
as I stared out of that cracked window seal.
Was he there, watching me?
the man i had not yet met.
The man in my dreams.

I could see his face so clear
but as i focused it only vanished
The more i seemed to search,
The more dismal me vision became

It is only when I feel most alone
Does he come again
It is only when I forget
Do i see him.

And in this state of mind there is one thing I must say.
three words before I forget you again
