Daydreaming

They stared at screens,

She stared at scenes

Of cities far away

Where she would travel one day

 

They sang their rap songs,

She could not sing along

Because she was daydreaming

Of Paris and Rome, of London and Sweden

 

They will never leave their home,

But she will gladly roam

The world and live free

In a place where she can truly be happy

Love the first two lines A LOT!!!!!!!!!! (The exclamation points are because I usually offend someone when I talk so I might as well get ahead when I can and also because I really really do love those lines). The last paragraph kind of makes me scratch my head and go *insert raspberry sound here*. I think it's fine to want to travel but I've always considered freedom as more of mental thing (and a debt thing) than a physical thing. I guess it's all opinion..... ANYWAYS (still love those first two lines!!!!!!) Bravo.

We all want to be somewhere else. Nice to have wanderlust and dream of new places. However, if we keep our eyes closed to see the places we could be, we cannot see where we are in the moment.

Very cool. I liked this a lot. I enjoyed the feeling of daydreaming that you presented here. While other's are firmly planted, she travels in her mind to exotic far away locations. Very nicely done.
