Today Feels Limitless

Happy days flow into sad days flow into I-don't-know-what-this-is days.

It's a never ending cycle and it is strange,

Never am I happy for very long, yet neither and I sad for very long,

But today is a happy day.

Today feels limitless,

Today I dance around and sing out loud,

Today I stare at myself in the mirror till I smile,

It doesn't take very long.

Today is warm cups of coffee and a cool breeze on my face,

Today is soft scarves and a golden haze,

Today I became a part of something bigger than myself,

Today you smiled at me and hope was real,

Today I remember that it moments of sadness,

Days like this exist,

Today I am happy.
