What alone really means

Alone
It's not physically having nobody by your side
Being alone
Means having nobody there
To help you
To heal you
To be there mentally

You feel lost
When you can be surrounded
By so many people
They say that they're by your side
But in reality
They really don't care

Being alone
Feels like
Walking through a maze
That has no exit

It feels like
Shouting in a room full of people
And having none of them hear you

Having none of them care

Being absolutely alone

This is a very poignant piece.. I have been in a room full of family and still felt so alone. Writing is a healing tool and sometimes writing is a friend and helps take that lonely feeling away.. I enjoy reading what you write y.. thank you for posting. shallimarRose
