I don't know
how else to say this
other than to show
how much I miss you
in a poem.

you've been gone
for a while
a while much too long
for I am an impatient person
And your absence
sends me to an abyss
Of loneliness

But the time missing
Is more than what is on the clock
Trying to keep busy
Has been unsuccessful
Like a knock on a door
of a vacant house

I really miss you
and hope you're back
sooner than you said
I'll remain in the abyss
of loneliness
its black
love is what it lacks
