Broken

Something I wrote a long time ago

Crack

Another line down my heart

Rip

Trying to mend my mind

Shake

Trying to hide my tears

Shatter

My heart shatters

Breath

I need to calm down

Tears

I can't stop the tears

Smile

I hide my broken heart

Laugh

I can't let them see

Broken

How truly hurt I am

Forward

It's the only thing I can do...

Sometimes moving forward is all we can do when we can no longer be with the person we love. It may never feel the way it did with that person but love will come again in time. This poem expresses all of those harsh emotions we go through after a parting and we do try to hide the hurt from the world around us.
