I write once a day

I write once a day,

Just to keep the voices at bay,

As my demons come to play

Through pencil and paper.

I write once a day,

So I don't have to stay,

I can sweep the fears away

To anyplace I'd like.

I write once a day,

So my thoughts all astray, 

May be written down halfway

For later, I will fill in the pieces.

I write once a day,

So I don't have to replay,

My horrors locked away,

From my time all alone.

I write once a day,

To escape thous who portray,

When my thoughts slip away,

The ones who tried to kill me...
