Soft and delicate. You lay there, looking as if you didn't have a care in the world. As if you could go on laying there forever and it wouldn't matter a bit. And whenever I need you, you're always right there. Right where I need you at the time. You listen carefully, never telling me I'm crazy or lying or over reacting or being silly or boring you just lay there and listen. And when it's all over We hug. The best hugs anyone could ever expect. And you know that a hug says more than any word ever could. Then, you go right on laying there, as if to say you'll always be here if I ever need you, and I know you will be. I've never had a friend treat me so well. Yet look at you! All tattered and frayed. How do you put up with me, when so many others can't.......
Tabitha is a large, white polar-bear stuffed animal, incase it needs any clarification.. although, I can't say anyone has ever found a friend like that outside of a childhood toy, or imaginary friend -- and anyone who has, should consider themselves special! :) .... I had her from the time I was 12 until last year when my roommate/roommate's boyfriend threw her out. Dont. Ask. :(

after reading such a poem, your roommate's boyfriend sucks! but since i dont know the context (and wont ask, since you told me not too lol) i guess i cant be too mad...
love ur poem tho...interestingly enough, i named my cat tabitha! but the name never caught on with the rest of my family :(
SO TRUE. Stuffed animals definitely do make the best companions, and this poem is a great reminder of that. Sometimes humans should just get over themselves - non-human contact is, in some (actually in most) cases, the best kind of contact there is. Thanks for helping us all remember why we have those stuffed animals for us to hug when no one else seems good enough. (One quick thing, though: please put an apostrophe in "can't!" It's so sad for me to see such a good poem end on such an ungrammatical note!)

The film has started. The first scene is of a young woman. She is tall, perhaps 5'10". Her long dark hair falls over her shoulders in a cascade of natural cur.. more..
