The Sun and The RainA Poem by Thalassawhile walking under the rain earlier, I thought of this. The sun left As the rain generously poured on the streets of Aster Cars passed by each other with blinking headlights Children would run with their soaked clothes with rips And there I was, walking alone My shoes would kiss every little stone while the wind would gently nudge them after I stare up at the sky as the rain cascaded on my skin With every droplet that descended on every inch of my body, I could hear the whisper of the rain Saying, "It's okay, I won't be here for long" And as the whisper has been said, The rain becomes weaker And I'm left alone again with the sun and its mischievous smile
