Eyes and Tears

They say that the eyes are the window to the soul,
        then maybe it's the window to the soul and mind too,
                window to all the emotions and feelings,

If the eyes are the window to what the heart is feeling, 
    then tears are the words that flow, released 
            from the heart through the window,
                    through the eye, the window of the soul.

Mind and body are part of a single whole. What is felt deeply will seek a physical outlet, tears being a primary example of this phenomenon. Sorry to hear of your Ian ordeal but glad you emerged from it OK.
