Dark Journeys

I wrote this after reading the news of Robin Williams.

In the darkest hour,

The stormy seas,

The most dire of situations,

The sinking,

The loneliness of a bottom's bottom,

A never ending pit.

There shines a spark -

A glimmer of light.

A calm.

A stop.

And suddenly,

The push upward,

And hope fills the air.

Filled with purpose.

May those who suffer from depression always find a way to see the light again.
