Stare

I forgot I wrote this. Found it on Writer's Cafe, then, it all got deleted. But luckily I posted on my blog, so I'm re-pasting it here. We live for small miracles. ^_^

Stare into the void,
Into the darkness
Of all past and present

Blind as a bat
Deaf as a snake

Floating
Falling

“The center cannot hold…”

Do things really fall apart?

I learnt something new today. Who says I am too old to learn? Just kidding.... But for real, I did not know snakes were deaf... but I can understand it though.

About the poem - I like that the stare addressed both past and present. Normally a stare is just to the present... so that made this line all the more powerful.
